Social Services Coordinator

Provides support to professional social services workers and public social services agency staff in the coordination and management of daily caseload activities.

Essential functions include:

• Transporting clients to appointments, visitations, treatment centers, and foster care facilities.
• Setting up visitation schedules.
• Supervising parental visits with children and monitoring telephone calls.
• Conducting parenting classes.
• Giving testimony in court regarding observation of clients and families.
• Assisting with file management, computer file entries, and case narratives; ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date in the WYOSAFE system.
• Providing in-home checks and services.
• Monitoring urinalysis, school grades, and attendance.
• Fully documenting all contact with clients and children.
• Conferring with the Social Services Worker regarding client progress and case plans.

Preferences/Agency Requirements:

• Agency requires that the successful applicant possess a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of parenting.
• Knowledge of policies regarding child protection and benefits.
• Knowledge of the community or institution to be served.

Minimum qualifications:

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma
• Experience:
  
  0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Social Services Programs) OR
• Education & Experience Substitution: 1-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Social Services Programs)
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  None
