Position OverviewThe Account Specialist performs accurate and timely client work including payroll, bookkeeping, tax planning support, tax return preparation, and general client communication. This role is a vital part of the team and works closely with Account Managers to support their day-to-day client responsibilities.
What You’ll Do Client Account Support | Approximately 80%- Perform Account Specialist duties as needed to support the firm and its clients.
- Process payroll accurately and on time and manage related payroll tax responsibilities.
- Manage bookkeeping for multiple clients and review financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and enter tax returns for further review by Account Managers.
- Provide additional assistance to Account Managers and help answer phones or cover other tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the office.
- Provide outstanding service in every client interaction and look for opportunities to improve clients’ financial well-being.
- Resolve client service issues constructively and professionally, with compassion and respect.
- Follow established firm policies, procedures, and processes.
- Dedicate time to self-development to increase job skills and knowledge.
- Successfully complete annual professional continuing education and internal training.
- Contribute to and support a positive work environment that promotes an effective, high-performing, and cohesive team.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with coworkers and clients.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and Quick Books, along with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong technology skills, including the ability to learn, use, and help others effectively use software solutions.
- Professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to create clarity in complex circumstances.
- Availability to work full-time with flexible hours.
