Assistant Warranty SpecialistFull Time Coeur d'Alene, , US
Salary Range: $24.00 To $28.00 Hourly
Job Summary:
The Assistant Warranty Specialist is responsible for homeowner interaction in an effort to raise the level of homeowner satisfaction. They assist in managing the in-construction walkthrough all the way through completing one-year warranty claims while taking a proactive approach to resolve buyer issues.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accurately updates and inputs documentation into Mark systems database daily.
- Closes out claims in a timely and effective manner.
- Assists with adjusting schedules for walkthroughs and closings accurately as needed.
- Completes a detailed pre closing walk list with the sales agent and homeowner of items that need to be addressed.
- Assists with completing detailed pre-closing walk list with the sales agent and homeowner.
- Assists with completing a New Home Orientation with the buyers. Verifies items have been completed and demonstrate the functions of the home to the buyer while seeking high level of customer satisfaction.
- Sends emails for a 45-day and 1-year warranty follow-up and goes over the items to determine if they are warrantable or not.
- Assists with scheduling sub-contractors on warrantable items and verifies completion with homeowner and contractors.
- Responds to homeowners calls and emails that come through the grasshopper line and warranty email.
- Discusses homeowner’s concerns and communicate to warranty specialists and/or warranty manager.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- Ability to routinely shift demands.
- Ability to enter data in an accurate and meticulous manner.
- Working knowledge of general office equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience; new home building experience preferred.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
