• Write, edit, and publish a high volume of news and culture content daily, covering breaking stories and reported features
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in copy editing under tight deadlines
• Collaborate with editorial, audio, and social teams for cohesive coverage across platforms
• Identify and elevate emerging stories relevant to Black audiences
• Apply SEO best practices to improve content discoverability

• 1–3 years of experience in digital journalism, web producing, or content creation
• Proven writing and editing experience for online content, including articles and social media
• Familiarity with CMS publishing tools and basic image editing software
• Working knowledge of SEO and content optimization best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field preferred

• Experience publishing or promoting content on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X
• Strong editorial judgment and collaborative communication skills
• Adaptability and responsiveness during breaking news situations
