Position Summary
The Kroc Attendant I supports use of the facility and engages patrons. This most often involves the climbing wall and the game room but can include Mobile Kroc, Kroc Student Transportation, Day Camps, and other programming as needed. Kroc Attendant I's will provide superior customer service and will be proactive in looking for deep connection with patrons. The underlying theme of all programs is to cultivate a safe place to belong and grow.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Promote the Mission of The Salvation Army.
- Ensure that everyone views the Kroc Center as a safe place to belong and grow.
- Be professional and trustworthy in the completion of responsibilities.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with the implementation and coordination of specific programming during shifts.
- Possess a general understanding of department areas and programming.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of the roles they are consistently scheduled for (e.g., climbing wall, game room, etc.) as well as the Kroc Center's Emergency Action Plan.
- Display integrity, enthusiasm, and sound moral judgment.
- Relate joyfully and sensitively to members and guests of all ages.
- Use appropriate positive discipline consistently and be familiar with managing patron behavior.
- Practice vigilant supervision at all times.
- Report all instances of abuse, neglect, injuries, or concerns to the supervisor and maintain the ability to escalate the reporting of the instance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a minimum of 16 years old with reliable transportation to the Kroc.
- Must hold and maintain current American Red Cross Community First Aid/CPR/AED certification; must obtain within 60 days if not already held.
- Strong desire and ability to work with children and adults.
- Must maintain a non-judgmental attitude when working with customers, clients, members, and staff.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Thrive in a team-oriented environment; be a team player.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality as needed.
- Ability to sit, walk, run, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects, and reach overhead.
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
- Enthusiastic – Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest.
- Team Player – Works well as a member of a group.

- Minimum of 16 years old.
- CPR/AED (preferred).
