Position: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Up to $55/hr)

Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing provides instruction and support for elementary students with hearing impairments in a classroom setting. The role collaborates with specialists to implement individualized education plans and fosters an inclusive learning environment. The position contributes to student communication development and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support elementary students with hearing impairments in a school setting.

  • Work collaboratively with speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and classroom teachers to implement individualized education plans.

  • Use specialized techniques and tools to support students' communication needs.

  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and development.

  • Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Idaho teaching certification or SPED endorsement.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Background check clearance.

  • Availability to work daytime hours (7:30 am - 3:30 pm).

  • Ability to adapt to school schedules and support elementary level students with hearing impairments.

Preferred

Skills:
  • Familiarity with elementary school settings preferred.
