About The Role
Mountain West Bank is seeking a detail oriented Consumer Loan Servicing Clerk for our seasoned Loan Servicing team in Coeur d'Alene, Loan Servicing Clerk performs routine duties related to booking, assembling, scanning and verifying the accuracy of consumer and loan documentation; prepares loan documents, services, and verifies the servicing of booked loans. This position requires a client‑focused individual who can maintain strict confidentiality in all loan matters.
The individual must be thorough, have the technical capacity to perform the required tasks, and demonstrate regular, reliable attendance.
This position reports to the Consumer Loan Servicing Team Lead and is part of a team of experienced Commercial, Consumer, and Loan Support Loan Servicing members.
This is a full‑time, hourly position. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM for a total of 40 hours a week. Rate of pay depends on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform routine loan maintenance duties such as: process payments, set up and change AFTs, CIF changes, HELOC checks, waive late fees, correct or reverse loan payments.
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service to branches and customers when contacted via telephone or email.
- Process consumer loan payoffs, completing payoff checklists.
- Release collateral on all types of paid‑off loans.
- Book all types of consumer loans and change in terms within 24 hours of receipt.
- Prepare consumer loan documentation and change in terms within the department’s stated turnaround time of 24 hours of receipt of a completed loan request.
- Work assigned pending and filing weekly; follow up on all required items; sign off and complete files.
- File review of consumer loan files—assemble files, note all exceptions, and send exception notices.
- Participate in community service activities.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
- 1 or more years of experience in an office environment.
- Ability to multi‑task and handle complex tasks efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work within strict time‑frames and meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of basic office equipment.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- 1 or more years of experience in loan policies, procedures and documentation.
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. The position requires regular, reliable and timely attendance. Employees may need to stand, walk, lift up to 10 pounds, and handle repetitive hand motions. Frequent use of computer terminals, telephones, copiers, and calculators is required for an average of 6–8 hours per day. Extended hours or travel off‑site may be necessary.

Generous paid time off is available, with accruals beginning at .0745 hours per hour worked for part‑time employees, up to a maximum of 240 hours per year for certain full‑time employees. Full‑time employees also receive six paid holidays; part‑time employees receive pro‑rated holidays.
