Position: Corporate Mortgage Closer I

About The Role

The Mortgage Loan Closer prepares the initial and final closing disclosure (to include review of the Seller CD) and closing package, funds the mortgage transaction, ensuring that all documents are complete, accurate, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Summary

This is a corporate position which may be located at an available bank division in Coeur d'Alene, , Post Falls, , or Spokane, WA. The entry rate for this position is $19.12 + per hour (calculated for Coeur d'Alene, ).  to learn more about our bank divisions.

All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

WA Applicants ONLY range:
Spokane $21.01 to $31.53 per hour.

Description
  • Maintains a professional, courteous, service‑oriented relationship with all parties involved in the loan process. Acts as liaison between the company, the title/escrow company, and the originator to ensure timely closing of the loan, accurate completion of all loan documents, and coordination of the closing process.
  • Schedules and prepares loans for closing once the Underwriter has approved the loan and conditions are cleared. Ensures closing documents and instructions are accurate.
  • Reviews fees and final figures from title/escrow, calculates cash to close, and validates loan data.
  • Enters required data into the Loan Origination System (LOS).
  • Delivers Closing Disclosure per proper Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Sends closing document package to title/escrow and borrower (if eClosing). Receives signed closing documents from title/escrow and requests funding of the loan.
  • Accountable for follow‑up on any missing or incomplete loan documentation in all files processed and/or closed.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Education

Required:

High School Diploma / GED.

Experience

Required:

1 year Mortgage Fulfillment Experience.

Beginner

Experience:

Experience with loan platform software such as Encompass and ability to learn additional computer applications.

Preferred: 1 year closing experience.

Preferred Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, Construction, and Loan Policy procedures.

Additional Requirements

Travel:
Occasional travel required (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation; must be able to lodge in public facilities.

  • Noise Level: Moderate noise; not extreme or excessive; within reasonable limits.

    Sedentary work involving up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

    Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, view a computer terminal, and read printed and handwritten materials.

    Mostly rare; daily attention to finger movement and occasional lifting or pushing.
