Job Summary

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations by ensuring donor eligibility, safety, and quality compliance.

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements.
• Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results.
• Manage donor adverse events, evaluate donor reactions, and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Consult the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on medical findings and donor eligibility, and provide guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents, coordinate evaluations with occupational health/ER, and reference EHS guidance regarding incidents.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations of local pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Current licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Successfully complete the FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly wage range: $23.04 – $31.68 (subject to qualifications, experience, and location).
