Oncology Infusion Nurse

Job Description

Beacon Clinic was founded to deliver a level of care that the team can all be proud of. We are a patient-focused health and wellness clinic that provides medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, rheumatology, and urology services.

• Provides compassionate oncology nursing care to patients
• Administers prescribed chemotherapy and biologic treatments in accordance with nursing standards and under the direct supervision of a physician
• Administers hydration, iron treatments, and injections as prescribed
• Monitors patients and assists them in being compliant with oral chemotherapy
• Educates and instructs patients and family members regarding medications and side effects
• Accesses ports, PICC lines and starts IVs
• Oversees infusion schedules and maintains timely flow of patients
• Performs therapeutic phlebotomy

• Compassionate and caring bedside manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work extremely well in a group setting
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

• Idaho RN License, required upon hire
• CPR/BLS certification, required upon hire
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card, must be obtained within 90 days of employment
• BSN, preferred
• OCN certification, preferred
• Infusion experience, strongly preferred
• Medical oncology and rheumatology terminology, appreciated but not required

Pay: Starting at $38/hour
