Clinical Director
Clinical Director leads home health and hospice operations, ensuring compliance, quality improvement, staff development, and program performance. The role drives regulatory readiness, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence. It is a leadership position focused on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead day-to-day clinical operations for home health and hospice services
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, Medicare, and accreditation standards
- Supervise, mentor, and support multidisciplinary clinical staff
- Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and operational performance indicators
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and best practices
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs
- Drive performance improvement and risk-management initiatives
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation and timely completion of required reports
- Collaborate with physicians, community partners, and interdisciplinary teams
- Support census growth and program development efforts
- Foster a culture of compassionate, patient-centered care and clinical excellence
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum one year of home health and/or hospice experience or prior clinical director/healthcare leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of home health and hospice regulations, standards, and reimbursement models
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance
- Proven leadership, team-building, and staff-development skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within service areas as needed
Skills:
- Previous management or director-level experience within home health or hospice settings
- Experience with Medicare Conditions of Participation and survey readiness
- Knowledge of EMR systems and healthcare operations management
- Demonstrated success leading interdisciplinary teams
