Senior Representative, Equipment Specialist

The Equipment Specialist, working under the direction of the Director of Sales – Medical Technology, is responsible for capital equipment sales and technical assistance for both MWI customers and MWI sales staff.

• Responsible for responding to inquiries from sales associates and customers to assist in the difficult process of purchasing and implementing capital equipment.
• Responsible for managing sales regions as the equipment ambassador.
• Identify needs and opportunities to grow sales of equipment.
• Act as the primary point of contact in directing the MWI sales staff as to what equipment sales resources are available and how to best access these resources.
• As needed, assist in special projects assigned by team leadership.
• Be or assist as project managers for veterinary hospital new builds, remodels, renovations or relocations as assigned.
• Order entry of complex orders that require higher degree of detail.

Associate's degree in veterinary technology or bachelor's degree in an animal health field is preferred but not required. Three or more years' experience working in a veterinary clinic or two or more years in a call center environment with an animal health products distributor or manufacturer is necessary. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is needed. Experience with CRM Salesforce is desirable.

Know the Product: Displays knowledge and proficiency in explaining, selling, and administering products; refers customers to appropriate resources within the organization.

Maintain Technological Expertise: Keeps informed of technological advances affecting the industry; recognizes/identifies appropriate and effective technological applications for use by the company; applies internal technology to effective advantage.
