Victim Services Coordinator

Join our Kootenai County team as a Victim Services Coordinator, where your work will directly impact the lives of individuals and families during some of their most difficult moments.

Under general supervision, you will plan, organize, and coordinate all activities and operations of the Victim Services Unit-serving as a trusted advocate, liaison, and resource for crime victims throughout the judicial process.

What You'll Do:

* Provide direct support to crime victims via phone, written communication, and in person.

* Notify victims of court hearings and case updates; respond to inquiries with care and accuracy.

* Serve as the primary liaison between victims and Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys.

* Schedule and attend victim meetings with prosecuting attorneys.

* Assist victims with court appearances and accompany them to hearings.

* Arrange travel and accommodations for victims and witnesses attending court proceedings.

* Connect victims to counseling services, shelters, and community-based resources.

* Work with the Idaho Industrial Commission regarding the Crime Victim Compensation Program.

* Assist victims with restitution requests.

* Coordinate with the Idaho Department of Correction to maintain updated victim contact information.

You'll manage sensitive and complex caseloads that may include homicide, child abuse, domestic violence, juvenile matters, and sex offenses-requiring discretion, empathy, and resilience.

What We're Looking For:

* Associate's degree, or certification in Social Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field.

* Minimum two (2) years of related experience and/or training.

* Working knowledge of the Idaho Criminal Justice System.

* Experience with in the criminal justice system is preferred.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive tasks.

* Strong communication and organizational skills.

* High level of professionalism and strict confidentiality standards.

* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
