College and Career Advisor

Kansas State University is hiring a College and Career Advisor. This role involves guiding approximately 350 high school students in a rural Kansas cluster through various post‑secondary pathways, including college, technical certificates, apprenticeships, military, and direct employment using a hybrid advising model.

• Serve as the main college advisor for a three‑school rural cluster under the Fabricating Futures initiative.
• Provide guidance on applications, financial aid, career exploration, and employer connections.
• Utilize hybrid hub‑based advising with in‑school anchor days, virtual advising, and surge visits.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license; experience in rural Kansas schools preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and d3 case management platform required for virtual advising.
• Experience with K-12 paraprofessional roles, virtual instruction, or coaching is desirable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Position includes regular driving across cluster schools and involves some physical activity, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Salary range is $16.36 to $20.44 per hour.
• Works onsite with hub flexibility between Coffeyville, Independence, or similar locations near cluster schools.
