CNC Machinist

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned CNC Machinist to join our team in Colchester, CT. This first-shift role involves operating advanced CNC equipment to manufacture high-precision aerospace components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

First Shift (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Thursday; Friday overtime as needed)

• Operate a variety of CNC machines using controls such as Fanuc, Okuma, Haas, and Mazak (training available)
• Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, fixturing, and loading CNC programs
• Make offset adjustments and perform minor program edits as required
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and ensure parts meet engineering specifications
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, gauges, calipers, etc.)
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures

• Completion of a formal accredited apprenticeship or equivalent technical training preferred
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Familiarity with machining hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and process sheets (training available)
• Working knowledge of shop math and machining technology
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work overtime when needed
• Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude

• High school diploma or vocational/technical school graduate
