Hours:

4 x 11-hour waking night shifts per week (9:00pm - 8:00am)

Are you a calm, caring, and dependable professional who finds purpose in helping others? We're looking for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our dedicated team at a children's residential home in Tiptree, Essex.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in providing safety, comfort, and reassurance to children and young people aged 8-17 throughout the night — supporting their emotional wellbeing and ensuring a secure, nurturing environment.

• Monitoring and supporting young people during night hours, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Providing a calm, caring presence and responding appropriately to any incidents or emotional needs.
• Maintaining accurate logs, reports, and safeguarding documentation.
• Carrying out light household duties and preparing the home for the following day.
• Working closely with day staff to ensure consistent and high-quality care.

• Previous experience working with children or young people (residential experience desirable).
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
