Service Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our friendly, professional team at our Colchester branch in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established company trading and operating from 19 locations, covering Essex, Herts, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridge, Lincolnshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

• In this hands‑on role, you’ll report directly to the Agricultural Service Manager and be responsible for:
• Repairing and maintaining machinery sold through our sales departments within your designated area
• Diagnosing faults using the latest software and carrying out warranty, chargeable, or internal repairs
• Providing first‑class service to customers who depend on agricultural or horticultural machinery
• Safely handling heavy machinery, using appropriate lifting tools when required
• Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery

• Proven experience in the agricultural industry (advantageous)
• Strong technical and diagnostic skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A practical, problem‑solving approach to work
• Good general fitness and a professional appearance
• A strong commitment to health & safety procedures
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A full, clean UK driving licence

• Hours:
  
  39hrs per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1‑hr unpaid lunch); overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours
• Salary: competitive, depending on experience (hourly paid) plus company van and mobile phone
