Service Technician

Our client is looking for a motivated and skilled Service Technician to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an electrical or mechanical background who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and the chance to travel across the UK and Europe.

As a Service Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and servicing their fleet of power generation equipment, helping to ensure reliable performance for customers across a variety of industries.

What You'll Be Doing:

Servicing, maintaining, and inspecting diesel generators ranging from 30kVa to 220kVa
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
Supporting installations, commissioning, and operational activities at customer sites
Working from Colchester as your primary base
Travelling to sites throughout the UK and Europe, often at short notice
Participating in offshore projects when required
Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service

What We're Looking For:

A strong electrical or mechanical background (essential)
Experience fault-finding and repairing diesel generators (highly desirable)
A full, clean UK driving licence
Based in Colchester or the surrounding area
Flexibility to travel and work away from home across the UK and overseas when required
A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
