Electrical Supervisor

Electrical Supervisor Chelmsford / Colchester / Southend / A12 Corridor to Ipswich £240 per day (CIS)  Premium Time Available An established building services contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee the delivery of commercial electrical projects across Essex and Suffolk. This is a long-term contract opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background who enjoys leading site teams, maintaining high installation standards, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality.

The Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of electrical installations across multiple projects, managing both directly employed electricians and subcontract labour. Working closely with the Project and Contracts Management team, you'll ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme while maintaining excellent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Supervise electrical installations across multiple commercial projects Manage directly employed electricians and subcontract labour Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all site activities Carry out quality inspections and ensure installations meet specification Resolve technical and site issues as they arise Coordinate labour, materials, and daily site activities Monitor progress against programme and report on project performance Attend site meetings and liaise with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors Ensure site documentation and records are maintained accurately Promote a safe, productive, and professional working environment Experience & Requirements Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor within the Building Services industry Strong commercial electrical installation background Experience managing both direct labour and subcontractors Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance ECS Gold Card or equivalent SSSTS or SMSTS preferred Full UK Driving Licence Skills Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability High attention to detail and quality Ability to motivate and manage site teams Professional and client-focused approach Ability to work across multiple sites as required The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Essex and Suffolk.
