As an Accountant within our Finance Department, you’ll support the Department by performing essential transactional and administrative accounting activities. This role provides accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash postings, and general ledger support. Working under the direct supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Accountant ensures financial records are maintained with integrity and helps keep day-to-day financial operations running smoothly.
WhatYou'll Do
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts - Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Perform bank, credit card and account reconciliations
- Manage timecards and the payroll process
- Facilitate benefits administration
- Process Sales & Use tax returns
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (public or private)
- Working knowledge of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Experience working within an ERP platform (e.g. Deltek Costpoint)
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives
- Experience with payroll and benefits administration
- Experience with export administration
