Requirements:
  • Valid VT Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
  • Experience teaching elementary-age children in a special education setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons for individualized instruction
  • Flexibility to travel and commit to a full-time, W2 contract assignment
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IEPs for elementary students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and support staff
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Track and document student progress
  • Engage with families to support student development
