POSITION

OVERVIEW

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will design and develop the electrical systems that power our world‑class industrial machinery. This role blends creative engineering with hands‑on problem‑solving, supporting both our internal manufacturing operations and external customer applications. Projects are diverse and may involve electric motors and drives, control systems, sensor integration, and occasional work with fluid and pneumatic systems.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams to deliver safe, reliable, and innovative solutions. Candidates with backgrounds in electrical engineering, electrical design, or related technical fields are encouraged to apply. Your title and compensation will align with your experience and technical scope.

WHAT WILL YOU DO
  • Design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for industrial machinery in collaboration with automation engineers.
  • Create panel layouts, specify electric motors, and design wire routing.
  • Define protection circuitry, load requirements, and related electrical specifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors to develop and maintain cable schedules.
  • Perform risk assessments and create Functional Design Specifications aligned with industry standards and documentation best practices.
  • Specify off‑the‑shelf components and commercial control systems.
  • Produce and maintain detailed documentation including schematics, drawings, manuals, and reports.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize electromechanical systems in both customer facilities and internal environments.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance system performance using emerging technologies.
  • Participate in commissioning activities for new installations and upgrades. (Estimated travel: 2–3 weeks per year, typically in one‑week increments.)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Strong foundation in electrical design for industrial machinery.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools; familiarity with ePlan, Draft Sight, Solid Works, Rockwell Studio 5000, or Siemens TIA is a plus.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics.
  • Experience with PLC programming and system integration.
  • Practical, team‑oriented mindset with comfort balancing design tasks and hands‑on work.
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
