Our client is seeking an experienced and results‑driven Wire & Cable Product Manager (Wire & Cable).
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate new product development projects from concept through commercialization.
- Develop and execute product strategies to drive growth in transit, industrial, and military market segments.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and assess existing product performance.
- Create and maintain product literature, technical documentation, and marketing materials.
- Work closely with R&D teams to develop new cable compounds and innovative product solutions.
- Coordinate product testing, certifications, and compliance approvals with external agencies.
- Design and maintain product drawings using CAD or Solid Works.
- Develop product costing models, pricing strategies, and price sheets.
- Prepare engineered quotations and provide technical support to customers and sales teams.
- Specify, source, and qualify raw materials required for new product development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure successful product launches.
- Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, and regulatory changes to support business growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant product management experience.
- Experience in the Wire & Cable Manufacturing industry is required.
- Proven product management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD and/or Solid Works.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate data and make sound business decisions.
- Experience with product costing, pricing, and quotation development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Experience serving transit, industrial, military, aerospace, defense, or related markets.
- Knowledge of wire and cable industry standards, testing requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing technical products throughout the full product lifecycle.
