Job Description
A sign on bonus of $3,000 is being offered to external candidates – paid out at 6 months ($1,500 less applicable taxes) and 1 year ($1,500 less applicable taxes) from hire.
The Specialty Pharmacy Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) provides full integrated support to patients, pharmacists, and clinic staff, ensuring a continuum of specialty medication services. PCCs are result‑oriented with a positive outlook and focus on high‑quality patient care and service. This position requires a high level of detail orientation and strong administrative/organizational skills.
EducationHigh School / GED plus one year of post‑high‑school education or related work experience.
CertificationsPharmacy Technician National Certification through PTCB or NHA required.
LicensesVermont Board of Pharmacy Technician License required.
Specialty Pharmacy Patient Care Coordinators maintain their Pharmacy Technician Registration/License with the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy and their National Certification in good standing.
ExperienceOne year of technician experience as a Pharmacy Technician or equivalency required. Three to five years preferred. Specialty pharmacy or pre‑certification experience strongly encouraged.
Background and Drug Screening- Conditional offers of employment in the Specialty Pharmacy department are contingent upon favorable completion of a thorough background check and post‑offer, pre‑employment drug screening. Candidates must submit to a drug screen from a vendor approved by the UVM Medical Center. Refusal or failure to obtain a drug screen within the requested timeframe may result in rescission of the offer. A positive drug screen may also result in rescission of the offer, dependent on circumstances.
