Job Overview

The analyst will leverage automation and AI-enabled capabilities within security platforms (such as alert correlation, threat prioritization, and anomaly detection) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and response times. They will assist in maintaining automated security workflows, validate AI-generated findings, and ensure outputs are reviewed and documented according to established procedures.

The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. They will follow defined processes, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and develop foundational skills across security monitoring, incident response, identity and access management, compliance support, and security automation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts from SIEM, EDR, email security, and cloud security platforms.
  • Assist with containment and remediation activities under guidance from senior analysts.
  • Monitor for suspicious login or privilege escalation activity.
  • Assist in conducting vulnerability scans across products using automated tools and AI-powered solutions.
  • Help report and document vulnerability findings, collaborating with engineers for remediation guidance.
  • Maintain vendor risk profiles and support third‑party risk assessments.
  • Support the integration of automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
  • Support tuning of detection rules and alert thresholds.
  • Participate in the creation and review of application Threat Models with guidance from senior staff.
  • Escalate and document incidents for response workflows.
  • Contribute to the collection and analysis of security metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using automation.
  • Maintain and update security event documentation and incident logs.
  • Help perform basic security audits and compliance checks for applications.
  • Review access requests and ensure least privilege.
  • Support the response to customer security questionnaires.
  • Provide documentation and evidence for audits.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in cybersecurity, automation, and AI technologies.
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, defense‑in‑depth, incident response, and compliance standards.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
  • Familiarity with operating system fundamentals and system hardening (Windows and/or Linux).
  • Awareness of identity and access management concepts (MFA, RBAC, least privilege).
  • Introductory exposure to scripting or automation concepts.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and modern IT environments.
  • Exposure to security tooling such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, or identity platforms.
  • Familiarity with automated security tools and introductory experience with AI‑driven security solutions.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams.
  • Must comply with and pass initial background check and drug screening, as well as subsequent background checks, drug screenings, and vaccine requirements as required by customer contracts.
  • Ability to follow DI’s policies and procedures and system usage practices.
Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree in computer science or information technology, or related discipline, or a combination of education and related working experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

While performing duties of this job, the employee is predominantly functioning in a sedentary light office position with a high frequency of telephone communication, keyboarding, and computer use. This person must also be able to tolerate variable room temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • CompTIA, ISACA, ISC2, or other industry‑recognized cybersecurity certification.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $64,600 – $92,700 (Compensation will vary based on skills and experience)

Bonus Eligibility: Full‑time, non‑sales employees are eligible for DI’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
