An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated
Capital & Healthcare Planning Project Managerto join ESNEFT's Capital & Healthcare Planning team on a12-month fixed-term contract.
This role will play a pivotal part in the development of a proposed
Pharmacy Aseptic Manufacturing Unit at Colchester Hospital, supporting the Trust through a critical phase of healthcare planning, capital investment and design development.
Working alongside clinical teams, estates professionals and external consultants, you will lead the appointment of professional advisers and design teams, coordinate the progression of the project throughRIBA Stages 1-4, and support the development of the business case required to secure investment and approvals. The role will also provide project management expertise to ensure programme, cost, quality and risk objectives are achieved.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a strategically important healthcare investment that will support the future delivery of pharmacy services across North Essex and Suffolk. You will work as part of a dynamic Capital & Healthcare Planning team delivering some of the Trust's most significant transformation and capital programmes.
Base:
Colchester Hospital with travel across ESNEFT sites as required
- Lead procurement and appointment of architects, cost consultants, engineers and other professional advisers.
- Coordinate design development activities through toRIBA Stage 4 Technical Design.
- Support the preparation of Strategic Outline, Outline and Full Business Cases as required.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement with pharmacy teams, clinical services, operational managers and external partners.
- Manage project programmes, risks, actions and reporting arrangements.
- Coordinate technical, clinical, operational and financial inputs to support investment decisions.
- Prepare reports, presentations and governance papers for senior management and Trust approvals.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with NHS guidance, Trust objectives and approved timescales.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Experience of managing capital, healthcare planning, construction or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of NHS business case development and governance processes.
- Experience of appointing and managing professional advisers and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and project management skills.
- The ability to coordinate complex programmes involving multiple work streams and competing priorities.
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in project management, construction, estates, healthcare planning or a related discipline.
