Registered Nurse – Hospice

Schedule:

12-Hour Night Shift: Monday 5 PM through the following Monday 8 AM (7 nights on, 7 nights off)

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13-16 weeks Guaranteed

Hours:

36 hours per week

Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of prior community hospice experience BLS certification required Excellent typing skills for narrative-heavy EMR

Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive end-of-life care and symptom management for terminally ill patients. Initiate and participate in goals of care discussions with patients and families. Administer medications via various routes including IV, subcutaneous, and oral. Conduct thorough symptom assessments and manage complex symptom management plans. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care. Educate patients and caregivers on aspects of end-of-life care.

Business casual or non-hospital scrubs in non-institutional colors; closed toe supportive shoes; limited jewelry. Orientation: 2-3 days of onboarding. Reliable transportation is recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area.
