Utilities Operator

Enhance your career as a Utilities Operator with Cold Lake's Infrastructure Services Department. This full-time role focuses on the safe operations of water and sewer utilities, ensuring a reliable supply of potable water.

This permanent position requires collaboration with the Utilities Foreman to maintain and operate water plant functions. You'll be responsible for the repair and maintenance of water mains, and wastewater systems while conducting field tests and managing data reporting to Alberta Environment. The role is essential to guarantee safe water distribution and treatment to Cold Lake's residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate water plant functions safely

• Repair water mains, and sanitary and storm sewers

• Disinfect potable water and ensure uninterrupted service

• Conduct field sampling and perform lab testing

• Monitor bacteriological levels for safety compliance

Requirements:

• Alberta Environment Level II Water Distribution certification

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in utilities maintenance

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Class 3 licence with Q endorsement

• Various safety certifications including First Aid
