The RoleGrizzly Trek is seeking one Dozer Operator to join our valued client's team in Cold Lake, Alberta. This is a full-time, long-term position on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation, with an immediate start for the right operator.
You will run dozers at the landfill pad, spreading, and packing, disposal material, the work is in the Cold Lake region. This is steady, year-round work with a defined rotation and a long-term project schedule, not a short-term call out.
What You'll Do- Operate crawler dozers for leveling, spreading, packing typical landfill work
- Push and spread disposal materials per design
- direct trucks to dump
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and equipment logs
- Communicate by radio with haul truck, water truck, and ground crews
- Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and field level risk assessments
- Minimum 3 years dozer experience, D8 class or larger preferred for mine work
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation
- CSTS-2020 or CSTS-09 and Standard First Aid, or willingness to obtain before start
- Ability to work a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation on 12 hour shifts
- Ability to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
- Comfortable working outdoors in all Alberta weather conditions
- Strong safety record and willingness to follow all site specific procedures
- Large dozer experience
- Experience with GPS or machine control grading systems
- Previous Landfill work is a asset
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) and regional site orientations already in place
- H2S Alive and Ground Disturbance Level 2
- Active industrial and Landfill environment with continuous heavy equipment traffic
- Outdoor work in extreme cold, heat, dust, and variable ground conditions
- Full personal protective equipment required at all times, including fire retardant clothing
- Site access requires pre-access testing and site specific orientation
