Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $78,000.00/year

Position Summary:
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users with progressing responsibility for infrastructure, networking, endpoint management and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, applications, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and other end-user technology.
- Manage and troubleshoot user accounts, permissions, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, MFA, and related identity and access issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows workstations and assist with Windows Server infrastructure.
- Support employee onboarding/offboarding, equipment deployment, access changes, hardware refreshes, and technology lifecycle activities.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless, switching, and general network connectivity issues.
- Assist with administration and troubleshooting of switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, VPN, SD-WAN, telecommunications, and related technologies as experience develops.
- Monitor infrastructure, endpoint, network, security, capacity, and availability alerts and perform initial investigation and escalation.
- Assist with endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, malware protection, encryption, patching, and other cybersecurity controls.
- Participate in infrastructure and security projects, system upgrades, deployments, testing, and change-management activities.
- Assist with Windows Server, virtualization, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and data center technologies under the direction of senior IT staff.
- Work with senior IT staff and vendors to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and security issues.
- Participate in the IT on-call rotation and respond to escalating after-hours infrastructure, network, security, and system-availability events as appropriate.
- Provide employees with guidance regarding phishing, MFA, passwords, data protection, cybersecurity, and appropriate technology use.
- Maintain accurate tickets, technical documentation, asset inventories, procedures, diagrams, and knowledge-base articles.
- Develop hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, backup/DR, storage, and data center technologies through progressively assigned responsibilities.
- Develop technical expertise through hands-on assignments, cross-training, formal training, and relevant industry certifications.
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in desktop support or similar technical role.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, User Account Management, and Group Policy.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and VPN.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support (MCDST), or equivalent.
