2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month)
This position is responsible for overseeing the Warehouse and Production team along with managing, directing, and implementing operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of company goals, while maintaining the highest level of quality and efficiency.
What You Will Be Doing- Ensure that new production line initiatives meet organizational objectives, including changes to technology and systems, business processes, and organizational structure and job roles.
- Strive to achieve quick adoption of change and efficient understanding and training to meet proficiency.
- Coordinate with necessary departments and work with employees daily to solve problems, create opportunities for success, and develop procedures and SOPs that affect warehousing and production, evaluating and continuously improving these processes.
- Conduct training for production leads, dock coordinators, distribution clerks, and inventory control procedures, ensuring policies are followed.
- Responsible for the efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of all supplies and products.
- Assist in setting up and controlling FIFO inventory system to ensure uninterrupted flow to customers.
- Recommend and initiate personnel actions for hourly employees with leads, such as hiring, performance evaluations (30-60-90), promotions, and disciplinary measures.
- Assist with training and scheduling temporary staffing for assigned production shifts and/or special projects.
- Assist and advise Director on warehouse and production schedule to ensure efficient use of personnel.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety and cleanliness are developed, met, and maintained, and comply with audit requirements.
- Examine and monitor production and warehouse operations, systems, and facilities.
- Attend department head meetings to keep group apprised of issues or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments.
- Maintain and strive to improve company GMPs and safety protocols.
- Act as liaison for production and warehouse processes during customer and vendor visits.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Adhere to and comply with quality production and food safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret formulas and procedures.
- Regular use of computer, writing, and filing required.
- Knowledge of working in Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and use of customer portals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records with math and science skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
- Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations.
- 1-2 years of experience in a production environment (preferred, but not required).
This role is based in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where employees experience varying physical demands throughout the day, such as standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.
Employees may work in temperatures that fluctuate due to outside weather conditions, including heat and cold, and the environment can be loud. Hearing protection is required, and employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.
Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce; the work environment may involve working around alcohol.
Physical Requirements- Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
