Finish Carpenter
Join a skilled woodworking team as a Finish Carpenter, where you will measure, cut, and sand wood components for high-quality cabinetry. You will work hands-on with a variety of tools and materials in a dedicated wood shop environment, contributing to both finish and rough carpentry projects.
Responsibilities- Measure wood components accurately for cabinetry and related projects.
- Cut wood materials to precise specifications using hand tools and power tools.
- Sand and prepare wood surfaces to achieve a smooth, finished appearance.
- Perform finish carpentry tasks, including detailed trim and cabinetry work.
- Support rough carpentry activities as needed to prepare structures and frameworks.
- Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow project plans and instructions to complete work on time and to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the wood working shop.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic while working approximately 45 hours per week.
- Proven experience with finish carpentry, including cabinetry and trim work.
- Hands-on experience with rough carpentry and general construction tasks.
- Proficiency using hand tools such as tape measures, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers.
- Proficiency using power tools such as saws, sanders, drills, and other woodworking equipment.
- Ability to perform general labor tasks in a construction or woodworking setting.
- Strong measuring, cutting, and sanding skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and operate tools and equipment responsibly.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a wood working shop or similar environment.
- Clean driving record, with the potential to grow into an installer role.
- Willingness to learn and develop additional carpentry and installation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a family-oriented setting.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to working approximately 45 hours per week.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based primarily in a wood working shop, where you will work with hand tools, power tools, and various woodworking equipment. The setting is hands-on and production-focused, with approximately 45 working hours per week. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and craftsmanship. With a clean driving record, you may also have opportunities to work on-site as an installer, traveling to customer locations to complete cabinetry and finish carpentry installations.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cold Spring, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $42.00/hr.
