Position Summary

The Document Control team is responsible for all ERP data input, output, and maintenance. Working within the Document Control Department, this person will analyze and review engineering and documentation additions and changes for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to company and customer’s requirements – and manage ERP data accordingly. Duties will include tracking and moving ECN’s forward towards completion, data analysis/entry, and intake of requests from the operations side of the business.

The role requires managing priority levels of workload and juggling multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities
  • Generate bill of materials and routings, assigning documentation and/or part/program numbers as applicable.
  • Troubleshoot employee needs and implement solutions, including issuance of standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed when making changes, additions, and deletions.
  • Maintain the change control process, including preparation of change requests, securing appropriate functional reviews and sign‑off, and maintaining records of changes.
  • Post changes to computerized or manual records, release documents, and notify affected departments.
  • Consult with engineers, managers, and sales to prepare documents and change requests.
  • Work with document originators to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain established data distribution system and expedite review, signature approval, and release of documentation in a timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain active, obsolete, and computerized files that support the documentation system.
  • Participate in the training of new staff on how to use ERP and SOPs.
  • Participate in the development of new processes and in process and system improvement projects.
  • Troubleshoot attribute anomalies and conduct data cleaning within ERP and other operations systems.
  • Track, manage, and advance processes including but not limited to ECN process and NPI process.

  • Detail-oriented.
  • Self‑starter, able to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to write or help write procedures and work instructions.
  • Deadline‑driven team player, capable of working effectively with various levels of management and employees.
Position Qualifications

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience
3–5 years of business experience; experience in engineering and documentation control systems preferred.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Advanced proficiency with Oracle and ability to learn several custom applications.
Work Environment and

Physical Requirements

Office environment. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Vision abilities required to validate and enter/manage data on computer.
