Overview
The Branch ISD Special Education Department is accepting applications for Paraprofessional Substitutes. Substitutes perform non-instructional duties and support the teacher with classroom activities. Applicants must have a desire to assist students with special needs and must maintain student confidentiality. Special Education Programs are located within:
Bronson Schools, Coldwater Schools, Quincy Schools, and Waldron Learning Center.
- Support the teacher with classroom activities and perform non-instructional duties as needed.
- 2 years of successful experience as a para-professional in a program serving mental and/or physical disabilities preferred.
- Ability to utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training techniques, which may include utilizing physical restraint to violent, acting-out students.
- Appropriate social and language skills in working with students in various job settings.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Requirements- Applicant must pass background and criminal records check.
