The Branch ISD Special Education Department serves students pre‑K to age 26 with mild to severe impairments and works closely with local schools in Branch County to provide instructional services, hearing and vision services, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. The department is dedicated to the success of every student and seeks a team member who is committed to educating all learners and fostering positive attitudes and work habits.

The employee will report to the Special Education Supervisor and is responsible for the instruction of students with special needs. Responsibilities include maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor, demonstrating a positive attitude, and upholding confidentiality. The teacher must meet Michigan State Highly Qualified requirements and remain current with professional development.
General DescriptionThe Teacher Consultant for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TC‑DHH) will provide direct or consultative services to students who are eligible for DHH services. The consultant will also provide consultation and professional learning to general education and special education teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Contract Length94 or fewer days
Salary Range$43.23‑$67.44 per hour (contingent on education and years of experience)
