Position SummaryLeads Process Improvement tools and methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, time and motion studies to eliminate losses within a distribution center according to the Network Process Structure using Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs. Delivers expected functional area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination, and creates standard work to reduce process variation. Assists with reviewing and responding to process improvement projects owned by area managers.
Applies new network One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities. Leads savings projects by taking loss out of the process. Promotes and supports company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Assists with tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology, manages project execution of top losses, and builds the capability of other area managers and associates.
Supports area loss profile analysis and performance metrics. Develops gap analysis to support WPS integration. Supports Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement and KPI improvements within the process area. Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by fostering relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs. Builds accountability and measures progress in achieving results.
Identifies and addresses improvement opportunities, demonstrates adaptability, and promotes continuous learning.
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports mission values and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and providing direction and guidance.

- Drives continuous improvements, adopts new technologies and skills, supports others through change.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years’ experience in Process Improvement.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and analytical skills.
- Process or Value Stream Simulation knowledge.
- Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long‑term savings.
- Process Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management (or related program) environment.
- Six Sigma certification.
