Manage engineering processes required to design, build, ship, and service Lincoln Electric Automation equipment.
Role Qualifications- Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
- Focus on design and development.
- Takes initiative to meet challenging project timelines and budgets including hours and materials.
- Provides small-scale mechanical layouts and detailed prints to production.
- Ensure that product, as designed, is in conformance with Company quote and customer purchase order.
- Assist with compiling digital documentation for service manuals.
- May assist with installation.
- Updates design package to reflect “as shipped” configuration of any critical item.
- Ensure required ISO documentation is completed.
- Typically works on one light design and/ or detail task at a time.
- Works under the direction of a more senior level Designer or Project Engineer.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects in support of the Company’s strategic goals.
- Assists other departments for a 2‑4 month period as assigned.
Essential skills and experience:
- Technical degree in Engineering desired.
- CAD (3D modeling) desired - Solid Works.
- 0‑2 years’ experience.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Computer proficiency includes MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Commitment to company values.
Physical demands:
While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Repetition with activity; computer work. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
