Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Civil Engineering
Industrial Construction Project Manager
This position oversees all aspects of a construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. The role involves managing the construction crew and subcontractors on industrial building projects with the general contractor.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the project schedule, budget, material ordering, and subcontractor management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA standards.
- Submit RFIs for design questions to the internal design team, architect, or engineer.
- Log construction progress and submit daily/weekly reports to the project manager and client.
- Assist with change requests and change orders.
- Read blueprints, schematics, designs, and drawings, and assist subcontractors with any necessary questions, changes, and scheduling issues.
- Submit building permitting, and schedule building and engineering inspections.
- Collaborate with management on productivity, costs, quality control, document management, and the processing of applications for payment.
- Finalize the final punch list and assist with completion of work.
Essential Skills
- Experience with general contracting
- Ability to manage subcontractors to align with the schedule provided to the client despite scheduling setbacks
- Ability to work closely with customers through owners meetings and subcontractor meetings
- Familiarity with various building and construction inspections and permitting requirements
- Experience with industrial manufacturing facility construction is a plus
- OSHA 30 certification
Job Type & Location
This is a contract position based out of Coldwater, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
