Position SummaryAssist buyer(s) with all purchasing needs including preparing various reports and data management.
Position Responsibilities- Keep the Purchasing Manager informed of all activities or problems and submit reports as requested by management.
- Research, evaluate and purchase products
- Must ensure that suppliers can fulfill the product requirements on time, while maintaining a quality product.
- Place orders and ensure inventory is properly distributed
- Prepare purchase orders or other agreements as necessary and check them for accuracy and completeness before issuing
- Review acknowledgements for agreement with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with the supplier to the best possible advantage for this organization.
- Follow-up or expedite orders as necessary to meet schedules
- Answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed
- Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
- Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
- Organizes and implements with direction from a buyer and/or the purchasing manager strategies to accomplish small business and disadvantaged business sourcing programs consistent with company guidelines.
- Comply with all state and federal laws as required
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft applications software expertise (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
- Ability to work in an individual and team setting.
- Ability to meet and establish deadlines.
- Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required - Experience:
1+ years of experience in a Purchasing role preferred Oracle experience is a plus
