Position Summary
Drivers sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory level cleanliness, assessment of economic trends and community needs, and overseeing the stocking and rotation of merchandise. They set up clean organization of product displays, secure fragile and high shrink merchandise, and lead and develop teams through teaching, training, and active listening to associates. They tour stores and provide feedback, communicate and collaborate across all levels regarding store operations, utilize technology and business initiatives, and introduce and lead company change efforts.
They provide clear expectations and guidance to implement solutions and communicate business objectives to teams. They model exceptional customer service standards to associates using the One Best Way (OBW) service model, manage customer service initiatives, and develop action plans to resolve complaints and improve deficiencies. They supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing achievements, and ensuring staffing needs are met.
They control merchandise loss by identifying and communicating performance goals, building accountability for policies, reviewing inventory variances, auditing results, and improving controls. They conduct investigations, gather evidence, and report results. They monitor safety and risk controls, supervise safety team members, identify accident trends, provide training, and improve workplace safety. They manage facility-level training for asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures.
They maintain documentation, reporting, and coordinate job-related activities to meet customer and business needs.
- Completion of 2 years of college.
- 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
- 1 year’s experience in one of the following areas: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment.
- 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
- Successful completion of applicable state requirements to work in asset protection.
- Acquisition of a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable).
- Successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training (if applicable).
- Completion of all job-required trainings and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Certification in an asset protection related field (for example, Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
- Investigative experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Criminal Justice.
- Annual salary range: $65,000.00 - $.
- Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
- Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location, and Complex Structure based on external factors.
- State Pay Differential: subject to legislative requirements.
