DK Security, Michigan’s fastest growing security company, offers an opportunity to work as an Armed Security Officer at our Battle Creek, MI location. The role involves protecting the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees and visitors against criminal activity.

Armed Security Officers are responsible for protecting the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees and visitors against criminal activity. Officers work to control access at entry/exit points and serve as a point of contact for visitors and patrons.

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Guard posts at entry/exit points
• Conduct foot & vehicle patrols of interior and exterior of grounds
• Prevent unauthorized persons from entering restricted areas
• Check employee, vendor, and visitor identification
• Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities
• Follow site‑specific post guidelines
• Document daily activities and report incidents
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum 18 years old, high school diploma or GED
• 21 years old for armed security work, Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder
• No felony convictions; no misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, illegal sale of evidence, controlled substances, or multiple alcohol offenses
• Pass drug screening (including marijuana) and physical agility test; must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with clean record (less than 3 moving violations, less than 2 at‑fault accidents in last 3 years, no major violations)
• Willingness to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified
• Physically and mentally sound, able to remain alert, complete psychological evaluation
• Work independently with little or no supervision
• Work 8-12 hour shifts indoors or outdoors all seasons; able to sit, stand, walk long distances, navigate stairs, use hands for keys/tools, hear conversations in noisy environments

• Hourly wage starting at $19.89
• Part‑time, full‑time, and ACA full‑time shifts available
