Battle Creek, MI

• Fort Custer Training Center – $19.89/hour
• Shift 1: 0000–0800 (4+ days per week)
• Shift 2: 1600–0000 (5 days per week)

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Guard posts at entry/exit points of the local base.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of interior and exterior grounds.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
• Check employee, vendor, and visitor identification.
• Identify suspicious persons, packages, and activities.
• Follow site‑specific post guidelines.
• Document daily activities and report all incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be 21 years old and hold a Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder to perform armed security work.
• Valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License and driver’s license.
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies or specified misdemeanors (related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances, double alcohol‑related offenses).
• Pass a drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter.
• Adhere to company Uniform and Appearance policy and present a friendly, professional image.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to de‑escalate scenarios.
• If operating company or client vehicles, must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license and a clean driving record with limited violations.
• Willingness to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Be physically and mentally sound and always remain alert; complete psychological evaluation upon hire.
• Capable of sitting, standing, walking long distances, navigating stairs, using hands and fingers for tools, hearing in noisy environments, lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Work independently with little or no supervision.
