Social Worker in Coldwater, MI

Make a real difference in the lives of students with this rewarding school-based contract role. This position, located in the Coldwater, MI area, runs from August 24, 2026 to June 4, 2027, offering 35 onsite hours per week in a supportive educational setting.

As a vital resource for students, you’ll collaborate with staff, families, and other providers to ensure every student has the support they need to thrive socially and emotionally. Qualifications:

• Active Michigan social work license required
• Experience working as a school social worker or providing social work services in educational settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based interventions
• Deep understanding of school systems, child development, and trauma-informed practices

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group support
• Conduct assessments to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on intervention strategies
• Support the development and execution of IEPs and 504 plans as needed
• Coordinate with community resources and agencies for student support
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
