American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Room position in a Critical Access Hospital requiring 2+ years ER experience and willingness to float to Med/Surg and Stepdown units.

• Work in a modern Emergency Department equipped with state-of-the-art technology
• Access to Tele Emergency, Tele Psych, and Tele Neonatal services via DHMC
• Critical Access Hospital setting supporting stabilization, treatment, and transfer of emergent patients
• Role is approximately 60% ED and 40% critical access charge duties, serving as backup to Med/Surg and ED
• Floating required to Med/Surg and Stepdown units, including taking Stepdown and Med/Surg patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12hr shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Compact RN license accepted

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required
• Critical Access Hospital experience required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC required
• Emergency Room skills checklist required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

• Provide emergency care alongside ED technicians, Certified Emergency RNs, and board-certified providers
• Work closely with local ambulance services and helicopter transport teams (DHART and Life Flight of Maine) for critical patient transfers
• Support Med/Surg and Stepdown units as part of charge responsibilities
• Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• Housing in the area can be limited, so candidates are encouraged to research options in advance
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested
