This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AV Installation Engineer who enjoys working with modern collaboration technologies and wants to join a well-established company offering long-term career development and manufacturer training. Key Responsibilities:
Install, commission and configure integrated AV and Unified Communications systems. Support service engineers with reactive service calls and preventative maintenance visits when required. Prepare, test and configure AV equipment before project deployment. Diagnose and resolve faults across integrated AV and meeting room technologies. Configure and commission video conferencing and collaboration systems. Carry out firmware and software updates across installed systems. Produce accurate installation and service documentation.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and system layouts. Work closely with project managers, programmers and service engineers to ensure successful project delivery. Deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all times. Experience
Required:
We're looking for an experienced AV Installation Engineer with a strong background in commercial AV installations and meeting room technology. You'll ideally have experience with:
Corporate meeting room and integrated AV systems. Video conferencing technologies including Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms. AV control platforms such as Crestron, Extron and Q-SYS. Poly, Logitech and Barco Click Share solutions. HDMI over Cat6A and AV-over-IP distribution systems. Audio DSP configuration and troubleshooting. Rack building, system commissioning and final testing. Reading technical drawings and system schematics. Diagnosing and resolving AV system faults.
Advising customers on system operation and providing technical guidance. Strong customer service and communication skills. We're looking for someone who enjoys configuring, commissioning and troubleshooting modern AV systems rather than undertaking component-level electronic repairs. A CTS qualification would be advantageous but is not essential. Due to the nature of some customer environments, applicants must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance and hold a full UK driving licence.
