About the Role
The Audio Visual Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing on-site audio visual operations within a hospitality venue environment. This role supports the successful execution of live events by managing operational processes, equipment coordination, labor scheduling, team performance, inventory control, and service delivery.
This position works closely with the Director of Audio Visual, venue partners, clients, and ON Site team members to ensure events are delivered efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with ON Services standards. The Audio Visual Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting event execution, developing team members, maintaining equipment quality, and helping improve operational processes and profitability.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of on-site audio visual operations within a hospitality venue environment.
- Support successful event execution by coordinating operational needs, equipment, labor, and team assignments.
- Manage equipment and labor scheduling to support event timelines, client expectations, and venue requirements.
- Train, mentor, coach, and support direct reports and on-site team members.
- Monitor equipment inventory, quality control, organization, and proper care of audio visual assets.
- Partner with the Director of Audio Visual and internal teams to support process improvement, cost control, and profitability.
- Review and understand financial and operational reports to help identify opportunities for improvement.
- Promote exemplary customer service to venue partners, clients, guests, and internal teams.
- Communicate effectively with clients, venue contacts, and team members to support seamless event delivery.
- Maintain a professional image and represent ON Services positively at all times.
- Support and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment.
- Complete required daily paperwork, reporting, and ON Site training.
- Assist with additional operational, leadership, and venue support duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in in-house audio visual services, venue services, event production, or a related field.
- Prior experience supporting or managing audio visual operations within a hospitality, venue, or event production environment.
- Strong understanding of audio visual operations, event execution, equipment coordination, labor planning, and client service.
- Experience training, mentoring, coaching, or supervising team members.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, understand, and use financial and operational reports to support business needs.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and office technology.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate office and audio visual equipment as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work well under deadlines and high-pressure event environments.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on event and business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in music, recording, audio visual technology, computers, hospitality, or a related technical field preferred.
- Experience managing labor schedules, equipment planning, and event operations in a hospitality venue preferred.
- Experience with employee coaching, training, performance support, and team development preferred.
- Fluency in a second language is helpful.
