Are you the expert who turns flat sheet into flawless parts?
If you thrive in a job shop—not a production line—and can own setup through final bend with minimal oversight, read on. This is not an entry-level position.
Quick Check3+ years running CNC press brakes?
Comfortable performing full setups solo?
Fluent in blueprints, routers, bend sequences, and allowances?
Accurate within tight tolerances on carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless?
What You’ll Tackle Set up and operate CNC press brakes for diverse, short-run parts.
Read prints/routers and select the right tooling for each job.
Define bend order and account for material behavior to hit spec.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and more.
Keep your area clean and organized; follow safety procedures.
Report any defective material or equipment concerns to supervision.
Assist with general shop tasks when needed.
Must-Haves Minimum 3 years of press brake operation.
Ability to execute full machine setups independently.
Blueprint reading proficiency; job shop or metal fab background.
Knowledge of bending techniques, tooling selection, and material behavior.
Basic math and precision measurement competency.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Demands Extended standing and walking.
Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Occasional lifts up to 75 lbs.
Tools You’ll Touch Press Brake (Amada preferred experience; Accurpress familiarity welcome, not required).Measurement gauges for precision inspection.
2D Drawings (Solid Works) for reference.
Core Proficiencies Heavy Material HandlingCNC Machine Setup & Changeover Precision Measurement & Inspection Blueprint Reading Interview & Pay Applicants moving forward will complete a hands-on press brake test during the interview.
Compensation is based on experience and skill level. This role is designed for experienced operators who can run independently from a print.
