Operator - OPS Packaging

Overview

For all positions:
The associate must be able to demonstrate they can perform tasks listed in a 90-day period in that position.

Level I:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Frequently stand and walk. Sitting, using hands to lift or move, reaching with hands and arms.
• Work in either a refrigerated or unconditioned environment.
• Stay up-to-date on all Computer Based Training (CBT)
• Follow the Company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Safety Policy including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and Code of Ethics, as well as all material handling, dock and security safety.
• Comprehend and follow verbal instructions, written short correspondence and memos.

• Packager
  • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position(s)
• Palletizer
  • Maintain Power Industrial Truck (PIT) license for pallet jack
  • Demonstrated ability to operate robotic palletizer and manually palletize, including maintaining the necessary paperwork, as certified by a supervisor

OR

• Drop Packer(Retail)
  • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position as documented by the qualification card as well as necessary paperwork
• Unscrambler(Retail)
  • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position as documented by the qualification card as well as necessary paperwork

For consideration for positions Level III and above, the associate must have a minimum of 3 months experience in their current position and may not have attendance or performance disciplines above a 2nd warning.

Level II:

• All responsibilities listed at Level I and Qualified per the qualification criteria on at least 1 of the below assets
• Labeler/Bander
  • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position as documented by the qualification card as well as necessary paperwork
• 60mm Platform
  • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position as documented by the qualification card as well as necessary paperwork
• Act as a training partner for other employees
• Perform autonomous maintenance on equipment

Level III:

• All responsibilities listed at Level I
• Act as a training partner for other employees
• Perform autonomous maintenance on equipment
• Demonstrated ability to operate 1 of the following lines per the qualification card
  • Packet Platform
    • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position as documented by the qualification card as well as necessary paperwork
  • Bottle Platform
    • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position as documented by the qualification card as well as necessary paperwork
    • Includes Drop Packer, Unscrambler, and Labeler/Bander
  • Pouch Platform
    • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position as documented by the qualification card as well as necessary paperwork
  • Hassia Platform
    • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position as documented by the qualification card as well as necessary paperwork

OR

• Demonstrated ability to operate a Skilled Position as certified by a supervisor

Lead:

• All responsibilities listed at Level III
• Monitor workers on site during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures
• Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality
• Check finished products to ensure quality and that standards are met before they are declared ready for use
• Create work schedule for team members and communicate it
• Support supervisor in daily activities and special projects

• Packager
  • Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position(s)
• Palletizer
