We are seeking a motivated Production Support Technician to join our dynamic metal manufacturing team. In this role, you will contribute to the efficiency of our fabrication floor by preparing materials, assisting in the assembly process, and ensuring our high-quality standards are met through diligent part processing.
Responsibilities- Facilitate smooth production flow by organizing raw materials and staging components for downstream fabrication.
- Execute precise finishing tasks including deburring, grinding, and sanding to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
- Support specialized departments such as welding, press brake, and powder coating to meet daily output targets.
- Operate essential shop equipment and power tools safely to maintain consistent production timelines.
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace to promote operational efficiency and workplace safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of finished parts to identify and report any defects or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline material handling and improve overall shop organization.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and the consistent use of personal protective equipment.
- Proven ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Reliable attendance and a proactive approach to learning new manufacturing processes.
- Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prior experience in a metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading a tape measure and interpreting production routers.
- Experience with material handling equipment or forklift operation.
- A desire to cross-train across multiple fabrication stations to support team versatility.
