Security Officer - Armed

As an Armed Security Officer you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government, and more. The Armed Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior or exterior) in an office environment. Additional duties include control of access and egress; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; composing reports; and deterring criminal activity and misconduct.

Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site
• Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 2 years of verifiable experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must have a minimum of three (2) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience
• Minimum 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Must be able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports

• Service in a Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
